Stimulus check

Not in Pa - our dumbass governor shut them all down. Not to be outdone- the Ohio governor said "hold my beer - that's nothing. From now on, no one from PA is allowed to buy liquor in any of the bordering counties".

Eddie - we need a jack off emoji

That's one of the dumbest things I've heard today.
I grew up in a small town 2 miles over the border from Utah. The liquor stores in town did a booming business on Sunday when all the ones in Utah were closed.

One more thing, it was a town of 300 population, and we had THREE liquor stores 😁😁

For those that lost your job and are looking, how are you surviving? What are you doing about bills? Did your mortgage/rent requirements get frozen? I’m genuinely curious how you’re managing this.

I've been selling shit to raise money. Also working side jobs for cash.

I would sell a lot of scrap iron too, but the price is so low it won't pay the fuel to haul it in.

I'm not saying a blanket statement that they shouldn't be essential, but it's quite surprising IMO that they are, while other businesses are being shut down.

I’m not surprised at all. I work in the distribution side and our March distribution sales are up 40% over last year. Actually, our March and April have been busier than Decembers sales. Plus the fact that liquor tax fills the governments deep pockets.

This is likely the underlying reason for being 'essential.' Don't get me wrong, a good friend of mine owns a store and I'm happy for him and me both that he's open. Just sad what makes the 'essential' totem pole as Americans are struggling.

It is sad but unfortunately “essential”, for sanity of some. Personally, I don’t really care for it. I’m putting myself and my family at risk by going to work every day. Sometimes keeping your job and earning a paycheck isn’t the most important thing in life.

Well said.

They can sure tax the hell out of small businesses. Seems like they could get money back to them. I’m not worried about big corporations, or even a check for myself, but I am worried about small businesses closing, never to reopen.

If anyone is in Southern California and needs a job I have three openings. Unfortunately I’ll be your boss, but a jobs a job.

CO2 shortage? I went to get a tank for this weekend and had to go to 3 different welding supplies to find one. Apparently the refinery shut downs are causing a shortage. Who knew? 🤷*♂️

It's funny how inter connected the economy is, and politicians selectively shutting down parts of it causes the gears of progress to get out of sync.

There will soon be all kinds of problems that no one could forsee. How long until real problems start to surface?

I actually live just east of Pittsburgh my sister lives in beaver and was thinking of making a run but found out Ohio said you have to show OH I’d.
