So I have a son in California. I flew out to Cali from Michigan and we drove to my other son's house in Fayetteville, NC. My wife flew in to Fayetteville to join us for the holidays. So we stayed up on Dec 23 and drank bourbon and whiskey until 6 am.....

We started with this.

and finished it off.

Then switched to this.

This was a full bottle, the pic was taken the next day. The others were taken before we started. We got a little carried away. But it Christmas, and the first time in about 5 years that we were all together, one son just finished a special school in the Army and the other is moving to Japan for 3 years. There was also some Gin and Vodka in the frey also. Christmas eve was a long day.....

On a side note the St. Augustine bourbon was some of the best bourbon we have ever had. We have had a lot of bourbon over the years.

Tonight at a restaurant I finally got to try Angels Envy & Elijah Craig... Both are Excellent! So afterwards I went down the street to pick up a bottle of either... Sold out. Picked up a Michters Small Batch Bourbon instead since my American is on empty.

Yep. Died in San Francisco few weeks ago. Not sure what a lot of these smaller companies are going to do. He was the master distiller for whistle pig and consulted for a bunch of others.
