CHILLIN in the SHADE - JL Wrangler SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE for JET Li

As much as Cindy and I love driving our Jeeps around doorless and topless, the sun out here in the Nevada can have a way of beating on you like a drum and having a little protection from it, can be nice to have. On our JK's, we solved this problem by running a Safari Top or our Bestop Trek Tops without any of the windows on but there's something to be said about being able to still see the sky. Needless to say, when we finally got around to stripping down JET Li, our 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, we decided to get a SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE.

Made in the U.S.A., the SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE is designed to block up to 90% of sun's harmful UV rays, reduce wind noise and it can even stay on when it comes time to re-install the factory top. Of course, for our purposes, we love the fact that it's just a shade, made out of a screen and not a shield that completely blocks our view of the sky.

For those of you who are interested, you can by a SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE simply by clicking on the link below:

Anyway, there's no point in me talking about all this when I can just as easily show you just how cool the SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE really is. Here's a few pics of what it looks like installed on JET Li.

If you still can't see it, that's because SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE designed their clear protector to be that way - INVISIBLE. To help prevent chafing and wearing down of the paint, SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE provides a clear film that gets applied to the top of the JL Wrangler's C-Pillar Roll bar and it does its job well.

As you can see here, the sky above is still visible and even the sun still shines through but screened and enough so to offer well needed shade.

Here's a shot of how the SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE attaches to the roll bar of your JL Wrangler.

The bungee cords are secured in place to SPIDER NUBS that get installed onto factory trim screws.

And, as an added bonus, we picked up one of these - a SPIDERWEBSHADE MESH GRAB BAG that attaches to the grab bar on the passenger side of the JL Wrangler.

Anyway, just thought I'd share what we've been doing with our JL Wrangler. If any of you are thinking about running topless and would like a little shade from the sun, I would highly recommend the original SPIDERWEB SUNSHADE.

We have one on the JK and love it. It's amazing how it lets light through yet keeps the sun off you.

That's the best part for sure. I love being able to still see the sky and trees overhead but still get shade from the sun :yup:

Wow that looks really good! The spider nubs are very convenient, really like those a lot! Great pics.

They really are a nice touch. They work well and look good too. :yup:

Jet Li is lookin cooler every time I see him on here. Excuse the bad pun. [emoji106]

:cheesy: Loved it :D

can the hard top be installed with it still left in place?

Yes and even easier than ever before. :yup:

That’s awesome! Looks like very high quality there and not all loose

Oh yeah, super nice quality and tight.

Had e spiderwebshade on my other 2 JKs, it really is nice, gives good but not over the top airflow, doesn’t flap and cuts down the sun immensely. Looks good on the JL too

Yup, really glad that it doesn't flap in the wind the way a Safari Top does and yes, I think they look really good on the JL :yup:

Love the shades! I've got another brand, but I have the Spidershades for my trail doors.

Those fasteners are a great idea... Do they have to be removed when you put your hard or soft top on or can they stay in place?

Nope, you can keep it right where it is and install your factory top back on without any problems. :yup:

Cool, I like the way it installs on the JL. No more ball loop things to loose

LOL!! The Spider Nubs are a nice improvement for sure.

Wow they really stepped up their game with the new fastners they are using, that almost looks factory :thumb:
