CB Antenna

I've been running a 4' antenna on a spare tire mount and it works great. I've recently been kicking around the idea of a shorter antenna or mounting this one lower so it'll fit in my garage without me having to quick-disconnect it. Do any of you have a setup that will clear a 7' garage door and still get good reception on the trails?

I also run a 4’ antenna and yes it’s sort of a pain always removing it when pulling into the garage

My simple fix (which I have yet to do) was to run a 3’ one and just re-tune it

Not sure if that option works on your rig

I switched to a 3’ recently. No difference in reception for me, it’s still higher than my roof.

I put a spring on mine and then put a loose zip tie around my roll cage up high. Now I can tuck the tip under the zip tie to hold it level with the top.

When (if) I ever put the hard top back on I will have to find a new solution, but this works for now.

I run a 3' as well, reception has been great!
