You can leave the rear stock for a long time. Keep an eye on the rubber boot. If it gets ripped, you need to start planning on replacing it.

Front shaft will rub the transmission pan and rip boot because of the extra droop with lift and taller shocks. (Especially with front sway bar disconnected)

CV boot on front shaft (near transfer case) will also tear due to steeper angle. This will cause it to loose grease and fail.

I definitly get better travel out of my long arm system . But , it is a complete system
