East Coast

Ok looking at my handy dandy calendar in Oct we have Columbus Day on Monday the 14 thwe could do a three or four day weekend type thing up at Rausch Creek/ AOAA or there might be bigger crowds because of the holiday weekend and we should do the next weekend. The 19th and 20th. Any thoughts?

Then perhaps a trip in the south in November or December? Weather permitting of course.
October might be tough for me. Hitting Jeeptoberfest in Ocala, FL the 11th - 13th. Taking off the entire week for Thanksgiving and about 10 days end of Dec.

Georgia is the next state I would think of as "very remote", right after Nevada and New Mexico. Note that the web page says that there may be "no services", so your cell phone might not be providing normal 5G service.
Yes because it rolls through the mountains in GA there will certainly be times where there will be no cell service. I've been thinking I may sign up for star link for a route like this. It is my understanding that you can pay for a month at a time. May have to put a little more research into it this weekend.

Certainly more so than Alaska. I’d say Georgia is probably the most remote state you know being right next to Florida and all. I hear they have good peaches though.

The whole purpose is to get off the grid for me anyhow. If I lose cell service for a bit I'm absolutely OK with it.

Thinking about getting out to do a little Overlanding here in Florida the week of Thanksgiving starting or meeting up on Saturday the 23rd if anyone has interest in spending a few days off the grid. I'm in the Tampa Bay area so it's pretty easy to go north or south. Throwing this out there to who might have interest.

Figured I'd try to keep this going to see if we can eventually get something going. I'll throw it out there that if anybody wants to hit the FAT up in the panhandle the weekend before Thanksgiving let me know.

Can’t I’ll be in Los Angeles that week attending a graduation. Plus Fla is a little far for me. Finally able to drive again without to much pain so I’d like to get out on some trails.
