It’s not horrible to install. You do have to remove the stock electronic pump completely to install a small component on the underside. I’ve only driven one with the added ram assist but seem to work fine.

Easy to install and no need to remove the pump. Just crawl under it and you can get to the back side of the pump. I drilled and tapped my steering box and added a ram assist to it and so far so good.
