2021 SEMA Sea Sucker

As silly as this new product may seem to some, I personally think that Sea Sucker has potential. Not necessarily as a mount for a Hi-Lift or lights, although, the battery pack they offer to power one up is novel, where I see it working out well is for things like a bike rack or even a roof rack - this, assuming you have a painted hard top or bed cap. Anyway, there are a lot of professional camera and film gear that uses suctions like this and so, I thought it was worth a mention.

Very cool product and glad its made in the USA. I like that it gives you more options on where to mount stuff.

I guess if it’s just for temporary mounting and you don’t to drill holes, this is a perfect product.

No way I would trust a roof top tent to those. If they are anything like the ones for material handling when the orange plunger sticking out the side means it's lost vacuum.

Curious about the effectiveness of these in real life. Obviously suction cups have been used in a lot of other applications and can even hold a go pro to an airplane wing.... But something about that bike mount onto that safety glass I just see going horribly wrong on a bumpy road. Same question with a hardtop- thats pretty flexible material in comparison to sheet metal.
