X2Power battery woes (AGM in Texas no bueno?)

I have a 16 JKU that is on its third battery. I have 35s on 3.72 gears and believe the alternator voltage is controlled by the computer rather than the engine speed. If it's in the 14 voltage range then it's charging. I have gone through two batteries since moving to Florida. The heat does...

3.6L Oil Filter/Cooler Adaptor Housing Replacement

Both times have lasted 10K miles. Each time the seals are no longer soft. They are hard and no good. The first one I didn't really experience one bolt not being as tight as the others. Maybe it just lost is tightness due to the crap seals. All I know is the original lasted 100K and hopfully...

3.6L Oil Filter/Cooler Adaptor Housing Replacement

So I'm in the process of doing this for the 3rd time. I got a mopar one this time. When removing the old one it seemed some of the bolts were much easier to brake free than the others. Has anyone used a medium thredlocker when installing these? I just found it odd.

ATTENTION: Know Your Jeep JK Wrangler Coolants and Save Your Engine!

First, I'll admit I didn't read all 14 pages of this thread but...has anyone just gave up on the HOAT/OAT concerns and just went with a Prestone All Vehicle coolant, good for 10yr/300,000 miles for the regular stuff and 15yr/350,000 for the MAX? I started using it in my Ram and I think the next...

Need help with P0302 misfire (failed leak down test on cylinder 2)

Well, I did the leak down test, and I am not excited about the results. I was able to push 70 PSI into the cylinders but no more due to leak rate and air compressor limitations however, here are the results. I checked cylinder 2 3 different times just to be sure. The air on cylinder 2 is coming...

Need help with P0302 misfire (failed leak down test on cylinder 2)

Thanks for the info. The code is P0302 which is cylinder 2. This cylinder is known for being a bad head at least in 2014 and older but is present in some newer models as well. The cylinder that has the valve cover leak is cylinder 4. Could a bad lifter cause the intake or exhaust valves to...

Need help with P0302 misfire (failed leak down test on cylinder 2)

Thanks for the help. Sounds like I need to go ahead and replace that valve cover gasket and take a look at those lifters.

    Vibrations at idle

This happened with my 2016 within a few years. I took just sticky backed foam seals that you would put around a house door and stuck it to the jeep seal from the top corner where the hardtop meets the windshield down to the floor. Seems to work pretty good except during hurricane weather.

Need help with P0302 misfire (failed leak down test on cylinder 2)

Hello fellow Jeepers. I am looking for a little help troubleshooting my P0302 misfire (there are no other codes). I have scoured the internet and still have some questions on the process. Here is the background. It’s 2016 JKU Sport with 115K miles. I have replaced the oil cooler housing, plugs...

3.6L Oil Filter/Cooler Adaptor Housing Replacement

First of all, thank you! This is a great write-up. I figured I would go ahead an share my experience. I have had to do this twice so far. The first time was at about the 100,000 mile mark and the second at the 112,000 mile mark. After thinking about it, I think only the seals went bad on the...
