Music - What are you listening to?

I always loved the original; guess that shows my age. But I think this cover by Santana / Steve Winwood does it justice.

What was done to your rig this week?

That looks really good. I’m torn between Ridge 38 / 12.5 vs Trail 38 / 13.5. Gotta decide before June.

What was done to your rig this week?

Finally got the old frame-side lower CA bolts off. Had to cut them in two places from the inside through jj pivot balls. They were essentially rust welded to the pivot ball. Somebody hasn't been keeping up with maintenance. After all that decided to replace the front lower long arms; I do like...

What was done to your rig this week?

Original, cut up by me 11 years ago to fit long arms before EVO made one for them specifically. And the new one that uses the lower CA frame mounts. That’s why EVO is EVO. 👍 And why I have a day job.

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

It's best to just measure the starting arm length and turn until you get the added length you want using that 1/2" figure. If you can find the threads used on your adjustable ends, just divide the thread pitch by 2 and that would give you an approximate answer to how many turns equals 1/2". See...

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

I'm pretty sure the stock recon wheels were 5.5" backspacing for a track of 61.9." If your wheels are now 4.5", then that adds 2" to the track and you are at 63.9, almost exactly what I guessed. I'm only using the track spec because that's the only way I can use the 1/4" dimension you gave me to...

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

Sorry probably should not divide the axle by 2. I’m not sure how Thrust Angle is defined. Edit: If I understand the definition correctly, I get 0.23 degrees using track 64" and your 1/4". Their 0.42 deg would be 0.47" I'm guessing that 1/4" is difficult to measure accurately.

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

Pretty close. I'm not sure what the track is of your setup. Depends on your backspacing, axle length, spacers, etc. I think stock is 61.9". If I use 64", then: Dave

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

Note it is 0.18 degrees, not 18 degrees. I won't bore you with the math. It depends on your tire size. Well, really the point where you are measuring toe. If you are doing that on the tread-face of your tire, then tire size is a pretty good approximation. 0.18 degrees is: 35" tire: 0.110" 37"...

What was done to your rig this week?

Thanks @jeeeep for the CRC recommendation. One down, The Bastard to go. The bolt on the passenger side frame is fused to the pivot ball. Got the nut off, but BFH won’t move the bolt. Might have to cut the bolt in two places in between the frame mount. I really don’t want to do that. Maybe I can...

What was done to your rig this week?

Yeah. Some bolts were mushroomed so I had to clean them up to get the impact socket on. But frankly, I thought getting the skid off would be worse that it was. The tough one was the OEM transfer case bolt on the passenger side. The one that bolts into the gas tank skid. The nut is welded into...

What was done to your rig this week?

Been dreading this for a while. Had to address these awful looking joints. First, pull off the EVO skid to make it easier. Square up some bashed bolt heads, break a breaker bar, go through half a can of WD40 and clean up my transfer case skid. And the fun hasn’t even begun yet. Pretty sure those...

AGM Sliders for King Coil Overs

    (2) AGM 2.0 King slider assemblies plus two spare replacement sleeves. Pic shows two replacement sleeves on the left, one fully assembled slider in the middle and one slider disassembled on the right. Never used. I switched my front setup to a DTD so I have no use for these anymore. Dave
