ARB Dual Compressor Rebuild - Anyone done it?

Wow, sure don’t need another fire. I imagined that I smelled hot wires so I unplugged all the harnesses. I’ll pull it out and check everything. thanks.

ARB Dual Compressor Rebuild - Anyone done it?

I have been limping along on one side working for a while and the other one started making noises like a wounded cat last week. Critically affects my lockers so need to get it fixed. I'm thinking of replacing both compressor units per the Poly Performance website. The existing unit has been...

    Show your Knives!

You got me to wondering how many knives I have tucked away in the rig. Let's see, there are 3 that live in the Jeep; there’s the Gerber Strongarm tactical with the molle attachment next to the shifter, the Buck that fits nicely in the door pocket, and the Spyderco that stays in my Go Pack that’s...

Thanks, I've run the old setup for 5 years with no issues. amazing what another inch will do. ;-)

What was done to your rig this week?

Probably true, I added 3.5 inch RK springs right before the trip, up from 2.5. Modded the RK arms but didn't touch the links. Lesson learned. How many guys use limit straps to avoid over travel?

What was done to your rig this week?

While on Cliff Hanger last week I munched one side of my front antirocks on the first major obstacle coming up out of the creek. Wrapped it around the tie rod from over centering it. Good to see they sell the components so an easy fix. Parts are on the way.

"You’re on fire! Get out of that Jeep!”

I do recommend two in different locations, the fire was boiling up under the front seat so made the one there impossible to get to. Luckily my guys were with me. I’ll check out the struts idea, Hadn’t considered that, thanks.

"You’re on fire! Get out of that Jeep!”

The shop pulled the mess out. I wasn’t there. It isn’t the cleanest look for sure.

"You’re on fire! Get out of that Jeep!”

Sure partner, crawl under your rig and check the gas line.

"You’re on fire! Get out of that Jeep!”

It was October 2023 on the Trail Dust Days run to Redfield Canyon with the Tucson Rough Riders. My buddy Rich Weirick jumped over flames to clear the passenger side. We didn’t know it then but the JK’s plastic gas line had worn through and sprayed on the exhaust igniting a fire that burned under...

What was done to your rig this week?

After my engine fire in Oct 2023 we rebuilt the engine, transmission and installed a 4 to 1 transfer case. To celebrate, we drove from Tucson to Moab and had a great week. We installed Ruby's new decals on her new hood to run Rusty Nail. They seemed appropiate.

Need some help with my crappy exhaust

I know the info is on here somewhere but I can't find it. Could use some help before my exhaust drives me nuts. I have a Magnaflow Performance system exhaust on my 2011 JKU and I love not having the muffler in the back but the drone is not good. It's starting to seriously suck. It really...

What problems does your Jeep have this week?

I cleared the code by straightening the wheel just like you said and found the problem. One of the drag link adjustment sleeve bolts has damaged threads so the bolt will appear to be tight but the sleeve will still rotate allowing the drag link to adjustment to wander all over the place...

    Some (probably) Noob Beadlock Questions

Some XD 232 info I just swapped my old wheels for the XD 232's you were asking about. I was impressed with the apparent quality and workmanship. The XD 231 like Eddie is running is polished with a 4.5 inch backspace. The XD 232 is power coated black and has a 3.5 inch backspace. Here is a...

    Mounting Beadlocks?? Need some help

I’m struggling getting the tire over the rim to get started. I’m trying to install new Cooper 37x 13.5 x 17 STT Pros onto new KMC 232 17 x 9 wheels. Can’t even get to first base. I’ve tried Eddie’s method of jumping/standing on the wheel to get it to go down inside the tire. Doesn’t look like...

Need some advise on new wheel install, wheel locks? Valve stems?

I have finally bitten the bullet and ordered new KMC beadlocks for my 2011 JKU. Planning to put new 37 in. Cooper SST Pros on a set of KMC 232's. What is the hot setup for lugnuts? I know there are a couple different ways to make it harder for thieves to roll them away. Do you guys use...

    Fuel tank vapor port cracked/broken!

Same problem- slightly different fix I found the gas tank vapor fitting broken on top of the gas tank as you guys have described. The tell tale sign was the gas tank cap light coming on and staying on. The brake cable does pull down on the line as described by thombull above and the plastic...
