I had to start somewhere, pal. And I went to you for the first official new part. 😀

    Building of Bankster

I figured since I just ordered the bracket for an ARB compressor from Eddie and Cindy, I’d start a build tread for my (new to me) 2019 JLUR “Bankster”. What does the name mean? The banks for everyone else are getting my money for the Rubicon and my CJ-8, Scrambled Egg. So, the banks are holding...

6 Speed and regear for 37s?

My, new to me, 2019 Rubicon Unlimited is a manual. It is good to see the GenZ anti-theft device being used.

In the market for a Rubicon

Two observations about the JLU Vs TJ six speed manuals I miss the low end torque of the 4.0. The 3.6 is a great engine for riding long distances, is quiet, and far smoother than the straight six. But, you knew it was hard to find a way to stall in first gear while taking off, between the torque...

In the market for a Rubicon

Bankster! That’s it! My 11yo grandson loves it, too. I was a little sad that he thought it was a complete improvement over the TJ, but glad he was into this new one. It has a few things I wouldn’t have opted for, like the one touch roof. And it has the steel bumper (I probably would have...

Loving this thing. I need a name for it. It will make its name known to me soon.

In the market for a Rubicon

I’m going with a 2019 JLU Rubicon. I found one, and pulled the trigger on it. I’ll have it Wednesday when I pick it up.

In the market for a Rubicon

I wouldn’t mind a Gladiator as a second car for me, but it isn’t in the budget.

    And, I know… I’m not a NOOB here after 9 years. But I forget to post. 😕

No real updates on the Scrambler. Starting a new business two years ago has eaten up a lot of my time. I also initially took a hit to the income, but that’s making its way back up closer to what I was making. I am hoping to get started. I’ve picked up two new welding machines, and will be...

In the market for a Rubicon

I should note that I’ll be looking for a used one. The crazy price jumps from Jeep the past few years just aren’t warranted, imo. I’ve already started finding some for good prices in and near Philadelphia, but I can’t pull the trigger until I get the settlement for my car.

In the market for a Rubicon

I finally gave up my TJ a year and a half ago to one of my kids so I could temporarily downsize some bills, as I started my business and he needed wheels. I also own a project CJ-8, that isn’t in running condition, yet. So I have been driving a boring Ford Fusion. A couple of weeks ago I was...

    Scrambled build thread

So, first assessment of the body… East Coast salt did wonders with the body modifications. The front is relatively intact, but the body in the rear needs a lot of work. So, I’m pricing out replacement parts, or a whole tub, and figuring it out. I’m still surprised at how the frame wasn’t...
