I bought my first "big screen" back in 2011 - it was a 42" Plasma and it was $1400. I just got a 54" last fall and it was under $300.

What began the decline was switching from the old bias ply to the radial tires. Used to have to baby those old tires - if you were smokin them in the turns you were gonna wear them out quick. Next up was abandoning the showroom car templates. Then they build all the dumbass cookie cutter 1.5...
