VIDEO : All Terrain Tires that Grapple the Snow

Nice review! I've had 2 or 3 sets on my KJ and my parents have had 3 sets of them on their LR3, all the original generation ones. Awesome tires.

    Lower Intake manifold swap.

I think it'll bolt on, but won't work as well as the factory one. The JK guys put the JL ones on since they flow better.

Best lightweight 35s for 18 in rims?

Thanks for the replies! I like the idea of keeping weight down just for the sake of it. I think I'm still leaning towards Nittos based on my past experiences with them. Never had a bad one.

Best lightweight 35s for 18 in rims?

Looking for the best "light weight" 35 (or close) AT tire for my stock Sahara rims. Looking to avoid anything load range D or E. So far it looks like two options: 295/70/18 Nitto Recon Grappler - love the looks, and the lightest one I can find (52.5 lbs), comes in at 34.4" diameter, so perfect...

    3.6 Spark plug change

Planning to do spark plugs on my 3.6 soon (just hit 102k miles). I know I'll need spark plugs (going with NGK Laser Iridiums), do I need the set of upper manifold gaskets? I have read mixed opinions on if they are reusable. Not opposed to changing them, but if I need to, is OEM required or would...

Another west trip - Moab and Rocky Mtn National Park

We finally did it! Super cool place and looks almost identical to when dumb and dumber was filmed there! Hasn't changed a lot.

    Whiskey of the Day

Got to try some Eagle Rare the other day. Very tasty, can tell that it's more aged and refined than regular BT, was surprised it was still only 90 proof. Would definitely pick some up at normal price, if I could get it near me. Still hard to beat MM46 for me though!

Maybe the prettiest color of all at The Stanley Hotel?

Another west trip - Moab and Rocky Mtn National Park

Did another trip to Moab and got to see Rocky Mountain National park too. Here's the write up from last time: https://www.wayalife.com/threads/moab-trip-pics.64163/ The JL and the new mods since last time in Moab did great (dynatrac endurosport lift, steel front bumper/winch, evo engine/exhaust...

Put this on today and the engine skid a few weeks ago. Looks great, can't wait to try it out.

    JLU 2.0L Overheat w Trailer

No experience with the 2.0, but I had a renegade with the 1.3 turbo (which I think is just a smaller 2.0?, same engine family), and it couldn't handle any grades once you hit 5000ft elevation. It would overheat very quick and go into limp mode. I think I saw it hit 256 a few times. Only had 10k...

    Anyone seen this leak before?

    at the full mark!

    Anyone seen this leak before?

Noticed this on my JL a couple weeks ago, finally got around to looking at it more today. The passenger side of the crossmember that runs behind the radiator is damp. I don't see any coolant anywhere from the radiator, and this fluid seems pretty clear and oily - not watery at all. My first...

    Whiskey of the Day

That's an excellent one. The local bourbon bar had it in a flight I had recently, it reminds me of Maker's Mark 46 but higher proof, what I'd imagine the cask strength 46 tastes like if I could ever find it.

    Tequila of the day

    For sure!

XJ overheats, orange gunk in cooling

Definitely looks like some bad coolant mix, I don't see any of the metallic glitter from a stop leak or something, but maybe the phone is filtering that out. How's the fan clutch and water pump? I'd do a coolant flush and make sure the fan clutch and water pump are good too. I know you said the...

Odd resonance from rear on certain bumps

Pretty sure - done it on a few different bridges and never did it stock. It's like a rattle/vibration that starts with a thud and then resonates throughout the body.

Odd resonance from rear on certain bumps

I've had my Dynatrac Endurosport lift for a month now and put about 800 miles on it - absolutely love it. However, I've noticed that when both rear tires hit a joint on a bridge, I get this weird resonance/rattle/soft thud that goes through the whole Jeep. I've retorqued everything several times...

Recommendations for floor mats and cargo liner

Husky Liners, they last forever and fit great and keep their shape. Every set of weather techs I've had has sucked, they warp and don't cover as much as Husky Liners.

    2" Dynatrac Endurosport Lift Installed!

Thanks! Just followed Eddy's video on it for Pippi, got one off a JL Rubi and took the motor off and put an Evo no limits knob on it instead. works amazing!
