    Tire imbalance or death wobble?

This. When I had my shimmy, it was almost guaranteed to happen when it was between 25-40F degrees out, on the first trip of the day on the highway. Colder than that, didn't happen, warmer, didn't happen as much but still could. After driving for awhile, it wasn't as much of an issue.

    Tire imbalance or death wobble?

That's not death wobble at all, real death wobble will shake a watch off your wrist and make you pull over. So many people run over a pebble and yell death wobble. That being said, mine had a similar shimmy and it turned out to be the tires. Got a new set of tires and it went away instantly.

    Power Tools

https://www.tariffintegrity.org/tti/milwaukeetool Some more reading. Agreed that there may be some difference being HK owned, but still a bit close for comfort when American owned alternatives readily exist. I know that everyone makes stuff in China (and I own it too), but at least I like to...

A Bit of UNDER ARMOR for JET : EVO MFG JL Wrangler ProTek Skid Plates

Holds up pretty well. I bent mine into my exhaust playing on some rocks but bent it back with a big crescent wrench. Exhaust loop would've been destroyed otherwise Im sure.

    "New" Rig

Been waiting for this day for a while, parents finally gave me the LR3! Bought it back in 2010 when I was in middle school. It's become part of the family, done so many road trips in it, cross country move, etc. Sitting at 237k miles now, it's been pretty well maintained. Has some small issues...

    OLM mirror lense replacements

If you can see the sides of your Jeep in your mirrors, you have them adjust wrong and have blind spots. No issues with my mirrors once they are adjusted right. I can watch someone go from behind me, to next to me in my mirror, to next to me out the window without any interruptions or them...

    VVT Solenoid seals

Getting ready to do spark plugs (second attempt lol) on my 3.6, noticed a little weeping on the passenger side VVT seal, not a full on leak/drip but must have some thing there as dirt sticks. Worth replacing or is that just how they are? Did some research and found people with nearly new ones...

    Skid plates

The factory skid plates do just fine for protecting the oil and tranny pan, the oil pan is very out of the way. I put the Evo protek oil pan/tranny skid on and the exhaust loop skid, the oil/tranny pan one looks new and doesn't get any hits on in any spot besides where the factory trans bar...

Evo Exhaust loop skid plate installed

If anyone is on the fence about it, get it! Worked great this weekend and probably saved my exhaust loop.

Best lightweight 35s for 18 in rims?

Couple more pics, plus got the Teraflex spare tire mount installed. Nice piece of kit. Love the nittos, probably about 300 miles on them so far. Very smooth riding and quiet. Can't wait to get in the dirt. Being that they only weight 50 lbs, the performance impact isn't huge. A regear will be in...

WHO'S WINNING : Jeep vs Bronco

same anywhere I go. It's almost always 75% Jeep and then 20% yota and 5% other stuff. the bronco basically fills the role the 2wd JK had

WHO'S WINNING : Jeep vs Bronco

exactly. But plenty of people lined up to spend $60-80k on a Defender, Land Cruiser, Lexus GX etc, or even the bronco and 4 runner at a slightly lower price point. Jeep just needs something cool and desirable besides the Wrangler. I feel like it's rental fleets keeping the Wagoneers alive.

WHO'S WINNING : Jeep vs Bronco

agreed. But I don't know that it has to beat the bronco in total sales for it to still be a good fit for Jeep. I'm sure ford sells more exploders than Jeep does grands. I think my point is that Jeep has to start making some desirable stuff that isn't the wrangler. Keep the wrangler as a...

WHO'S WINNING : Jeep vs Bronco

But I wonder which one is more profitable. The Wrangler doesn't have to outsell the Bronco to still be more profitable. If the wrangler can still be profitable and be a niche market, I think that's an okay strategy. It doesn't need to be everything to everyone. I'd rather it stay with the same...

Best tires for sand trails and highway.

Can't go wrong with Toyo Open Country AT3s - I've had 3 sets of them and loved them all. I'm getting new tires on mine and getting the Recon Grapplers, since they come in a SL load rating for 18" rims in a 35. Also have had 4 sets of the OG Terra Grapplers on my Liberty and parent's LR3 over the...

Best lightweight 35s for 18 in rims?

Thanks for the help everyone. Decided to go with the Nittos. They look cooler and weigh less, so that's a win. Plus always had good luck with Toyo/Nitto, so why try anything new. Discount tire is beating the local Jeep dealer's buy 3 get one for $1 sale, so for all 5 just over $1800, so great deal.
