Yeah it's cracked all the way trough the weather strip. I think I'm just going to put some resin and call it a day. Don't want much trouble, it's just a "spare" top since I have another one so might consider giving it away or patent something out of it. :question:

Finished intalling the Or Fab Carrier, finally I got my backspace back and it looks awesome. :rock:

Installed my Or Fab carrier, was quite a pain. Still not finished though but at least it's holding itself lollll

It's not sitting with locking nuts on the carrier. It's only the T bar that "lock" the spare. There is only two small holes that you can pass a padlock or a wire to prevent someone to get away with your spare.

Yeah, time to sell my TF hinged carrier for something else. Or Fab is more likely my best bet and I see there's a couple of models like jerry can version or non jerry can one. Found some people complaining about departure angle. Is it something really bad ? I kinda like to carry some jerry can...

I noticed something wrong when I oppened my tailgate. So I took out my spare to check it up. That's what I saw Somehow it doesn't feel like anything is loose, doesn't jiggle at all. For now I put my spare in the back, tomorrow I'm hitting a trail. From what it looks like, it seems...

Ok so I chose to go with EVO, now I will need to paint them. Any advice with that? Putting a primer is a good idea or a waste of $$? How many coat should I do? Will a rattle do a clean job? (beside my skills of course) Thanks!

Great ! Thanks for the info guys. I plan going the EVO route with my sliders and I want to take care of them properly (Beside banging them on the trail :bleh:)

Just wondering if sliders need to be taken care of on a regular basis ? And what you do? Paint them after every trail? Need to sand the rust off or paint over it ? I'm asking because I plan on getting high quality sliders and would like to keep them as long as possible of course.

Have you considered getting steel wheel like black rock instead of spacer? They are relatively cheap, very good looking, IMO and will be less heartbreaking that scratching your oem wheel. This happened on all 4 when I was stuck in mud.
