    ham radio license studying

I've had a technician license since 2009. Just very inactive and slow in getting a radio put in the new Jeep. Below is a link to a site where you can download a free app and have sample tests on your phone or tablet so that you can practice taking the test. The good think is that you can go...

WIN a JK SPORT CAGE from Rock Hard 4x4!!

I had been following Eddie and Cindy when they had the white CJ and TJ and the old blog. I had just got my first Jeep in 2004 and was looking for resources. His blog was no nonsense, down to earth and pretty straight forward when it came to the how to sections. I always the OEM roll cage was...

WIN a ROCK HARD JK Sport Cage - GET PREPARED for MOAB GIVEAWAY!!

A sportcage for my Sport would be nice addition to my sport. I have two MOD lists. One that has critical mods and the other that has secondary mods. I say secondary because the JK comes with a stock roll cage for what it's worth and does offer some protection. Many thanks for providing the...

Dead of Winter The Donner Party

I know a lot of folks know the story of the Donner Party but the Weather Channel is showing an interesting recreation about the travels of the Donner Party that I watched yesterday. It showed the struggle of the travel and is already to the part where they have reached the snow in the Sierra...

Acceptable SWR readings or keeping tuning? ch1=2, ch40=1.5

I'm asking because 1. I actually purchased the swr meter and did the readings myself and electronics are not my thing. I put a SWR meter to my antenna/CB and got a smudge(very minuscule) 2 on channel 1 and 1.5 on channel 40. Are these acceptable to use? or should I keep tuning. I know you should...

Veteran's Day in the Anza Borrego Desert - No Pics :(

Spent Veteran's Day with JKRebel and his son in the Anza Borrego Desert. Fonts Point is still amazing! It was nice to take the Jeep out and get away from work midweek. Found out CB didn't work for crap but the stud assembly washer was on in the wrong order so I put it on in the correct order...

Is this a fast inflation time without a tank? -

Trying not to hijack anyone's thread. I realize I don't have 35s/ 37s so don't start on me about tire size. I had a York on my last Jeep w/ tank and now have the ARB dual compressor and was wondering if it's efficient without a tank. I have a stock JK with 31s on it (don't start) and I aired...

    Cordless Impact Gun?

Wow! You sound like me when I got my first Jeep 10 yrs ago. I was not buying those parts again and bribing my friends to help put those parts on again so I did my research and made sure what I purchased was what I wanted. I had NO tools whatsoever. I had to start buying wrenches and sockets. I...

SNAKE EYES : A Fateful Trip Across the Fordyce Jeep Trail

"Put your hands on the radiator and say hallelujah" You guys/girls are a hot mess! That was great. I too didn't think you would make it to the trail at the rate you were going. Great film. Good to see you can do Fordyce on 35s. I notice the smallest Jeep was on 35s.

This is a great choice for a carrier. No noise, the jerry can stays in place and you can use whatever bumper you wish. I had this on my TJ and plan on having it on my JK
