PAPPY's New Shoes : 7.00x16 NDT Tires Mounted on Omix Ada Replica Wheels

Those tires and wheels make Pappy look so ??? Can't think of the right word 'cept to say I like it. Now that the CJ-2's and 3s are 60 or 70 years old they're getting so hard to find in anything more than rustbucket condition. Driving them is like riding a very old Harley. They're PRIMITIVE...

SNAKE EYES : A Fateful Trip Across the Fordyce Jeep Trail

Already commented, but I got to thinking why is it I liked it more than most. I'm guessing from the right side body damage on Moby this was filmed shortly after the 2011 JKX. The camera work was good as usual, but the editing was 2015 better and the writing and narration has improved with...

Show Us Your Jeep in the Fall Colors 2015!!

Took this today in a neighbor's backyard. Coloradans often say Fall is the best time of the year. I'm inclined to agree.

    RUSTY : 1972 Jeep J2000 Pick-Up Truck

While I generally like NAPA, I've had the same issue with an alternator and two power steering pumps. Maybe your alt was rebuilt in the same sweatshop mine was. Everything is good now though.:yup:

    Locker operation question Hi/lo range

Lockers, especially the fronts if you have them, can compromise your ability to turn. For that reason use them sparingly in snow. I learned the hard way!

Rusty's NEW 31x10.50 BFG M/T KM2 Tires Mounted on ProComp Series 82 White Wheels

Rockin' Rusty's sporting some serious attitude now. I can remember those style 15x8's with 10x15 Armstrong Tru-Tracs on my '66 CJ.:thumb:

What started your passion for the off-road Jeep lifestyle?

My father let me ride shotgun in a topless MB in post war Germany in 1952. There was no off road that day, but I was hooked. It's why I love the old flatties so much. Bought my first CJ in 1964. It wiped my savings but I didn't care. Now I'm in Colorado living the dream on the trail.

Advice on Oil for 1984 CJ

Factory recommendation is 10-30 if you ever drive in temps below zero, otherwise 10-40. It's your call whether dino or syn.:yup:

Question about Fuel Carries, pros and cons

:twocents:I am nervous about carrying outboard fuel. Was on a trail run with a hot rodded CJ5 who decided to haul ass up a sand wash. He tucked a front tire and flipped onto the steel jerry cans mounted on the rear carrier. There were either two or three full rolls. It happened so fast and...

Jon Snow (formerly Plan-C) The WAYALIFE XJ Build

Been wanting to replace the shift knob on my MJ and after several of false starts just couldn't figure out the dealio. Your photo of the lever has solved the case. A couple of hard jerks and the knob was in my hand!

    Stock jeeps on the trail

This trail looks like Imogene Pass in Southern Colorado. Was there a couple of weeks ago and got a few scrapes on the skids. I wasn't sure about some of the ledges but with the rear lockers in it hardly slipped a wheel. Stock Rocks! At the Summit Fins & Things, Moab Apr. 2015

Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

Went to the San Juan Mtns. in Southern Colorado last week. It's been forty years since I ran Imogene Pass and it has changed. It's more difficult from erosion and ten million off roaders. It put a few dings and scrapes in the skid plate of my stock 2012 JKUR. Fun! Going back next year. At...
