In front of her school was the monument to General George Washington Goethals, US Army and chief engineer of the Panama Canal…the three tiered waterfall represents the three lock of the canal, named Gatun, Mire Flores, & Pedro Miguel

Quite possibly the best ceviche (corvina of course) & clams I’ve ever had…and the shaved ice was great…you scooped some ice into your bowl, poured the passion fruit juice over it, followed by condensed milk and some kind of powdered milk…fantastic

These ships are waiting to enter the Canal…a canal pilot comes out by boat, boards the ship and pilots the ship through the canal. Usually it takes about eight hours…while he was alive, my wife’s father held the record of transiting the canal in just under five hours…he was buried at sea…
