Definitely going to depend on where you live. Mid-west flats, Florida... you will probably survive. If you are in the mountains, 4.10 will be miserable. We are out in the PNW and went with 5.13s on my wife's JL (manual on 37s) and she couldn't be happier.

Apex valves are really fast .. but they are fairly tall and depending on your wheels, if they aren't protected they are prone to being snapped off by rocks and branches. I ran Hutchinsons for a while and they are shallow and the valve stem isn't very well protected. I snapped one Apex valve...

Amazing how much the geology changes .... Nevada desert vs California high country (ie.. Rubicon) vs Utah / Moab vs the forests of the PNW .. and it's all gorgeous. Great pics!

Black Hutchinson beadlocks with 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers .... Black on grey looks good but I think you need some color somewhere to break up the mono-chromatic look so I went with the red accents on the hood and vent decals.

And the desire to re-engineer as little as possible ...
