it almost sounds like the noise i get out of the rear door that everyone has mentioned about the latch device having a rattle sometimes . i had my wife touch the mirror housing but that wasnt it. it seemed to go away when you lower her window down

i think ive located the rattle i hear while driving . seems like if i lower the passenger front window it stops making the noise when i hit a bump in the rd . its a 2021 wrangler unlimited sport maybe 25 k .any thoughts ? almost has a metal to metal sound

i think i figured out how its done . to read codes on a 2018 or newer you plug into the odtd 2 with one plug off the scan tool . but to reset codes you plug in the 12 plus 8 connector and if you wanted to change something in the jeep program which i have no need for ,you take the two other loose...

is your jeep made before 2018? or after

i asked a question to xtool when i bought their unit if it would connect to the 2021 wrangler and they said i would need the 8 plus 12 cord to use their scanner

no i just wanted something to check trouble codes that may arise in future . i did all the repairs on the 89 jeep didnt trust the dealership . kept it on the rd for 34years

i think you are right on . i will just have to locate it. not sure where the two loose red and blk wires go they are out side the plugs just two wires with long pin connectors like you are suppose to poke them into a slot

the one on the left i bought used at car max for 48k the one on the right i bought new in 1989 for 17k some dumb ass russian kid in a truck turned right in front of me trying to get into a race trac gas station

i tried that one you show but the scanner said it could not connect ,that it required the 8 plus 12 connector to work
