I knew once I put a 35 on my stock carrier I would need a proper tire carrier at some point. I've been noticing more and more rattling coming from the tailgate in the past couple weeks. Yesterday I checked and discovered the stock hinges are loosening up. Looks like it's time to upgrade!

Well it looks like we will be a 2 jeep household soon!!
I thought it would be a while before this was going to happen.
We are selling our newer (2 years old) to eliminate a car payment and are going to pick up a cheap Xj. Super excited!!!
My steering has been a bit sloppy lately so I was under the front end making sure everything was torqued down, which it was. But I noticed this and am wondering if it is normal.

Its stock other than 35's and 3/4" coil spacers.
Thanks in advance!
My first jeep was a 98 xj. I bought it off the original owner and the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I put a 4.5" lift and 33's on it, with a bumper and winch before I traded it in to get my JKU. I loved that thing.

This pic is from a couple weekends ago. I finally got out to the Whipsaw Trail. Unfortunately I caught the exhaust loop on some rocks and now have an exhaust leak (either at the manifold or cat). It's going in next week to my mechanic. Hopefully it's not too bad.
I figured it's time I give a wave. I've been lurking on here since I bought my JKU sport new in 2012. This place is a treasure trove of info! I'm hoping to contribute as much as I can as I learn more in the process of building my rig.
The wife got me a CRES. Totally surprised me as I had mentioned getting one in the summer, but hadn't thought about one for a while. Can't wait to use it camping!!
