It's Coming...ECLIPSE 2012
This event that is sponsored by Cedar City Leisure Services will be an enjoyable afternoon filled with "hands on" activities, learning stations and a whole lot of fun for the entire family. There will be experts with telescopes to discuss safe viewing of the eclipse that will occur the next day. By visiting each station individuals can earn a free pass to swim at the Aquatic Center. Come get your "Sweet Spot" Eclipse Glasses and obtain a map of locations where the eclipse will be viewable.
Who: Everyone is invited! Adults, Kids, Teens, Tweens
Where: Cedar City Community Center - 2090 W. Royal Hunte Dr.
When: Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m
Why: The Annular Solar Eclipse occurs on Sunday, May 20th between 6:33 pm-8:37 pm
(It can be viewed from various locations in Iron County)
We will be distributing:
Solar Safe Viewing Glasses (provided by Cedar City/Brian Head Tourism Bureau)
Maps of viewing locations in Iron County (provided by Cedar City/Brian Head Tourism Bureau
There will stations and exhibits: (complete a punch card and earn a free pass)

Cookie Decoration - Create and eat your celestial concoction
Scorpions - UV/Black light demonstration

Story Station: Bring blankets, pillows, for myths and stories
