Water temp was still a little hot for them at 75 degrees. Where do you fish the delta from?

An eastern Sierra fishing, wheeling, drinking trip would be an awesome time.
I've actually never fished the Ca Delta. I mainly fish the surf around Santa Cruz.

Oh nice I just bought a surf caster. Haven't even taken it out yet. I am mostly bass and high country trout.

Blowing Rock, NC 2 months ago. I pulled maybe 10 more like this out of a honey hole. Water was way low and they got trapped. This was on a saltwater setup using an egg pattern.

That is a seriously big brown!
DePuy's Spring Creek near Livingston, MT, in 2014. What a great place for dry flies! ...but you'll get an education. The fish have PhDs in rejecting poor presentations. They've seen everything from the very best fisherman.
It's one of the more beautiful streams I've ever seen.

No pictures yet, just found out I'm going to New Zealand for Christmas and plan to do a ton of fly fishing while I'm there. I'll post pics when I'm down there.

Yeah bud, they were all monsters. There are stories about fish like this in the mountains in western NC. I couldn't believe it.
