What was done to your rig this week?

Installed a couple remote momentary switches to operate a two switch garage door opener.

I now have piece of mind that it is stashed away for when the top is off. Sitting in the Jeep you don't even see the switches.

Yet the remote is still accessible by removing either vent and/or power window controls.

Ok that is badass. I may have to do this.

That is a sweet setup. Nice job!

Did this to my oil pan at SMORR...

It's not leaking and I changed the oil yesterday. The fill bolt and everything functions just fine. I don't think it would hold up to another hit though so... a new oil pan is about $230, or I could just bolt a skid under it for $190 or less... thoughts?

Probably just to be safe I would get the new pan and get a skid, not sure how the dent affects anything internal though.

I would do what Gerberhard said. I would think that this would change the way your dip stick is going to read being dented and if you are burning oil (looks to be 07-11 3.8 so you likely are), your reading would be inaccurate. Beat it back straight and skid it.

Good point, didn't think about the dip stick reading incorrectly. That's why I ask :thumb: (and yes, I do burn about a quart in between changes.)

Thanks!

I would get a new oil pan and skid cause that's something you don't to be cheap about. You won't be going anywhere without it haha
