THROWBACK THURSDAY - Show Us Pics of Your Jeep Back in the Day!

Going way back...20 years when I purchased my 95 YJ brand new in December of 1995

Funny, I bought a brand new '95 YJ in December of '95 also. Mine was white with a hardtop :thumb: Unfortunately I have no pictures of it.

First day after driving home from the dealership. Bought used1449773340946.jpg

The things I have learned since then, mostly from Wayalife.

Here is my current JK the day I bought it. I insisted the dealer take off the 35" tires and 20" wheels and put the stock Rubi wheels back on before I took it home.

My 2016 with 11 miles on her. This was November 23, just rolled over 1000, already have a 2.5" lift and tires on the way.12289493_10205192924802011_3298388880068992512_n.jpg

Well, mine at all that old to me yet, only had it a year and a half, and not too much time to do too much with er, but here is the day I drove it home from the dealer back in May of '14! (Used but only 10k miles, so basically still new!) Already had so many great memories in it, and can't wait for a heck of a lot more!

And the first time really playing in the mud too!

Can't wait for a lot more modding hopefully in 2016 as well!

First two pics are at the dealership the day we picked up, only had nine miles on the odometer. The third pic is a few weeks later after the snow melted.

I really wanted a White one, but with production of the YJ's nearing the end, at that time I was lucky to find one in any color with the options I wanted....which was carpet, passenger mirror and a back seat. I finally got my White 2 door 20 years later with my 16 Willys.

Getting ready to head for home (Arizona) after the purchase in Montana (after switching bumpers and tires/wheels from the black one):

Yes I experienced that also. I called a couple of dealers looking around for the right one and found that one that some lady had ordered, but she backed out of the deal. So I guess I got lucky. It's also funny how the options list has changed in 20 years (carpet, passenger mirror, back seat)!

Do you remember what you paid for the '95? I think I paid $18,500  I definitely remember paying $14,500 for my first YJ in April of '91 (first year with the 4.0 motor), soft top, 5 speed, AM/FM radio, and a trac-lok!

And at this moment is when I decided I needed to lift it.
