After the last post I made regarding the old traction road we traversed, Cindy and I decided to go on a quest to find some of the Traction Engines that would have used them. Needless to say, this was a total spur of the moment trip and here are some pics of what we were able to find.
But first, here's a shot that we took to kick off our day.
And, here's a shot of Old Dinah - a traction engine from 1894 that was employed to replace the old 20 Mule Teams that were used to haul borax.
For comparison sake, here's a shot of what the wagons that the 20 Mule Teams would have been pulling.
Of course, what would a trip like this be without enjoying a bit of whiskey
Back on our quest, we make sure to see this traction engine before the sun went down.
And, that's all I have for now
I know it wasn't much of a post but I hope you enjoyed the pics just the same
