Worried well- people who aren’t sick, but want to hoard medication like they hoard toilet paper.

I don’t think many will quit the discussion over a disagreement. But I do think it’s fair to squash rumors.
-PPE is an issue. Mostly because it’s being used on Worried Well. And made in China.
- Testing stations are being taxed. Mostly because it’s being used by Worried Well.
-If hospital beds are overrun, which none are... Worried Well.
-9,000,000 people. 8,500 positive tests are taxing a system with 150,000 beds? Fear monger.

Well, if no one here took the H1N1 pandemic serous, then why start now!?

Also, I can tell you from first hand, that the private industry is doing all it can to prevent this pandemic. State / local governments are overwhelmed with more people being worried than being sick. This causes ELECTED officials to intervene and take (over)action, resulting in a loss of TP.

The feds are failing horribly, not on a presidential level (not relieving him of anything) but I am hearing of truckloads of supplies literally not showing up from FEMA, lack of supply chain support on that level (give it to Amazon). The private industry wasn’t allowed to properly prepare for this because the feds wanted the ball, in my state the private labs / hospitals are stepping up to do testing and hold the stop/swabs. I would be highly reluctant to hand anything to the federal government. Nightmare of red tape and inadequate support. As the pandemic bell curve increases, so will the public’s reaction, causing the govt to overreact and infringe on our freedoms. Load up on canned goods and ass wipes folks.

Lots of good discussion, but as OverlanderJk said, ain’t worth a shit and I thought this was a Jeep Forum? I’d rather hear people ask what lift is best for 35s tires.

So I say, BRING BACK THE MEMES!!! The memes on this thread have literally made me laugh out loud. Favorite is the Mad Max, classic movie = great meme. [emoji1598]

What percentage of those beds are unused just waiting to be filled with a Covid patient though?

Admittedly, I’ve done zero research into the NY health system, but just throwing out the total number of beds seems a bit disingenuous.
