VIDEO : JL JOURNAL - First Drive

I like the JL, but I’m getting sad because all the jeep jk threads on here about mods, etc, are going to start fading away.☹️ This forum is a primarily reason why I like my jk so much..learned a ton, made some friends, found another way to enjoy and see new places.

I think people will build JK’s for a while, but if I bought a JL, I’d post a build thread here, and also here, at JL Wrangler. https://jlwrangler.com/showthread.php?544-REMINDER-Build-Threads-Posted-Here

Like the TJs before the JK, the JKs will still be built. I recently saw two 2012+ Rubicons around here with low miles and a decent amount of mods for around 30k. Which IMO isn't a bad price compared to what it was a couple of years ago. I think used newer JKs at a lower price will still appeal to a lot of buyers.

I'm sticking here not leaving. My wife said no JL, she said we will get a new engine first. Man I can't wait for a V8. Sucker!

Hope the price doesn’t get too low! Glad to hear you’re sticking around.

Hi Eddie, Do you happen to have a set of 35s laying around that you could throw on Jet Li to show us how the 35s look with the stock suspension and fender flares? Thanks!

Looks nice. Always exciting getting into a brand new jeep ! Hope its trouble free. & Enjoy
jeepmojo

Thanks! We appreciate it

Haha, that's funny... Cindy's too nice 😀. I'm really hard on myself when I realize I've missed a Jeep wave opportunity. It happens...

LOL!! Thank you for your understanding

Oh my, that is a nice ride up the hill. On the drive by, it looks lifted with those high clearance front fenders and wide. Like a few have mentioned, a diesel truck is where I’m headed but that may change when the off road video comes out.... great job guys!

Thanks! Jeep has stated that you can run 35's as is on a Rubicon but that they recommend a 2" lift if you plan on flexing out on the rocks. I have a feeling you could do it with just a leveling kit. As far as the truck goes, I want one and it'll make a great camping rig but I'd be hard pressed to want to wheel something that long across the Rubicon.

Did the Oh’s get rid of the Renegade? Eddie was speaking in past tense regarding the renegade a few times.

Yes they did

What coz said, we sold it.

LOL! There are over 2 million JK's out on the road today. I can almost guarantee that there will be people buying and modifying them for some time to come :yup:

Damn so no more toaster forum?

No, we still have toasterjeep.com :yup:

Unfortunately, we don't. Haven't run 35's in quite some time on any of our Jeeps.

I know a guy with 35’s on 5 on 5 wheels. Let me know if you want him to stop by one of these days so you can try them on for size. ;)

LOL!! Now there's a thought. Assuming the holes on your wheels can accommodate 14mm studs, we may have to arrange a meet up sometime soon :thumb:

I have ATX Cornice wheels but have no clue what the holes will accommodate. (I can’t believe we are discussing whether my hole is big enough for your stud). [emoji15][emoji51]
