JoJo- 1957 Panel Wagon

I started cutting away the bubba front bumper to replace the cut front crossmember behind it. What a pain in the ass🥲. I’m hoping the frame isn’t too fucked up.

Finally removed the shitty bumper. I might need a new thermostat….

I did notice it had a high compression head. The “73” in front of the thermostat is the stamp for it. It was production for jeeps going to higher elevations over 5k feet.

It’s over a 100 in the shop, I’m fat. I’m debating on just swapping the frame out since this one has been hacked on.. I picked up a roller last weekend for parts, but I might just swap it
Lol for every full Jeep you buy you always buy a roller. It was 100 in my garage last weekend too. Don’t you have one of those big swamp coolers?

I do, biggest porta cool you can buy. It cools it down enough, but it doesn’t make me skinner.

hey the roller was free. I was just going to take the cross member but it might fuck up both frames taking it out. I’m rewiring, run new brake, fuel lines. Fixing the the rear tailgate section. Swapping u bolt bushings, rear leafs. So it might just be quicker to swap the frame while it’s that far torn down.

Working in 100 degree shop will. That’s my weight loss plan.

Shit might as well just swap it. More solid frame will less likely fail or give you problems later…

One of the hardest thing to find is original parts for these old terds the previous owner hacked up the thermostat housing. I found a used one but it was in rough shape.

Quick dip in muriatic acid and it cleaned up.

Rebuilt the carb over the weekend. I think I see the problem.
