High mileage oil - yes or no?

I just hit 85,000 miles on my JKU and I’m due for an oil change. I’ve just been using off the shelf synthetic and don’t have any engine troubles. I’ve got a small rear main seal that started maybe 10,000 miles ago but it’s not bad. Are you guys running high mileage oil or sticking with regular? Thanks!

I have run high mileage oil in the past on other vehicles i have owned, but usually didn't start until I was well over 100k. With you at 85 k I would wait. Of course if it is all that is on the shelf you do what you gotta do.

I use high mileage Penn. in everything except wife's car. Because everything I own is high mileage. Never noticed it made and difference when I started using it. Rear mains in everything still weep.
Only leak free vehicle I own is a 290,000 mile Toyota 4-runner the kids drove.
Sad Toyota knows how to make a engine that will stay dry but, US automakers cannot.

I used to run high mileage in my JK with over 100k. I don’t know if it made a big difference but I felt like it was the right one to use and didn’t have any leaks.
