Thanks so much for this write-up. It took me a lot longer than it should have, but I also broke a couple of the vapor tubes, and it took a week for anyone to get one in stock. My Jeep is a 2015 and has 145k miles on it. I've had the oil leak for a while, but it really wasn't bad. In fact, when I took off the housing, there was oil, but it wasn't that deep—but deep enough to cause some dripping.
As I was disassembling it, I found a coolant leak from one of the hoses, so I replaced all the old rubber with new HPS silicone. It may have been overkill, but that rubber isn't in great shape, and I had everything apart anyway. I figured it was a good opportunity to get ahead of it.
I made a mistake and removed the fuel rails. That, of course, meant the injectors weren't perfectly seated, and I had to take everything apart again and put in new o-rings.
I used the factory plastic one because it wasn't the housing itself that was cracked and I have read enough about people having trouble with gaskets to just want to keep the factory one. Note that it doesn't come with sensors so you'll want new ones. At least keep them on hand and you can return them if you need to. I broke one, taking it out of the old housing, so I just bought both and replaced them rather than reuse.
The connectors are a total PITA but youtube is your friend with those.
It's a job for sure, but anyone halfway handy can do the work. Take your time with it, though, to avoid making mistakes.
