This is great. I was just wondering the other day that if 35s generally measure at about 33" does that mean 37s measure at 35".

Because ideally you would want your tires as flat as possible. But also, I think he is looking for an easy basis for everyone to go by and keep it uniform.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have the mounted size of the Toyo Open Country AT II 285/75R17? Seriously looking into these..

Went out and grabbed a pic for you. 285/75R17 Toyo Open Country ATII's at about 32 psi with ~300 miles on them. Sidewall says 34"x11.5". Looks like it sits at about 32.75"

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac, LT285/75R16, 30 psi, passenger side rear. It was my spare and has less than 500 miles on it.

31 & 5/8"

Dose this mean if I understand correctly if I wanna run 37" tire I would actually need to get 40's but then I would need bigger axles but they are still only 37"

No. In order to run 37s, you need to buy 37s. Everyone who provides size recommendations goes off of the side wall number. From suspension makers to trail recommendations.
