Dyno Beads (Tire Balancing)

I was just curious if anyone has heard of this... http://www.innovativebalancing.com/index.php

Since I have been having issues with my tire being balanced I did a little research and found this. Does anyone have any expierence with these beads?

If so what are your thoughts?

In my opinion, they're snake oil. If you have a Discount Tire in your area and with a road force balancer, that's what I would recommend. Ask to have them use tape weights instead of the kind that gets attached to the edge of the rim. Of course, if you're running something like an MT/R, good luck. Even with several balancings, I could never get them to where I wanted.

Thank you both. That is what I figered. I found a place close to me that has the road force balancer, I will do that from now on.

Paul do the Airsoft BB's have the same weight as the Dyna Beads? Did you toss them on a scale 1 to 1 to see if 8 ounces of Airsoft has a matching weight to the 8 ounces Dyna Beads?

If that works I'm just going to do that... I have to get my new tires mounted over the next week and I can't stand wheel weights... especially since my wheels are black and silver weights will make my OCD go just nuts. lol

If you have them install tape weights, they get mounted to the inside surface of your wheels. Not only will you not be able to see them, they won't get knocked off on the trail too. I am really particular about having balanced wheels and they are what I run now.

Which is heavier- 10 oz of gold or 10 oz of water? :D
I've never had the dyna beads personally, had air soft in my tj, with diy steel beadlocks that were Not highway friendly to begin with :( then add swampers :banghead:
If you are going to run them, find a good postal scale, pour the air soft into soda cups until you get the desired weight.

Oh that's a good idea, I forgot I had those on my caddy. I have zero experience with beads... I like the idea of them, but again I have zero experience with them.

x10 on the road force balance. Had that done my my wheel just a few weeks ago and it made a world of a difference. If I need to balance my chamber pros and Muds at all I will be road force balancing them with tape weights for sure

:banghead: :cheesy: I read "which is heavier" and went straight to I'm an idiot.. :icon_crazy: :banghead: But in my retarded defense I was thinking maybe you put the beads on a scale 1 to 1.

I found a place that can road force balance them... I think I'm just going to go that route using the weights like Eddie said. It does seems a little pricey at $35 a tire... but I really would like to get the most out of the tires.

:D I knew what you meant, but I think any difference wouldn't be measurable, lol.
I can totally see you with your ocd and 4 cups of airsoft, weighing them, then counting each cup.... :D
Take Eddies advice and do the road force with inside weights

Whats everyones take on TPMS sensors... get another set for the new setup, or can a Procal or Superchips shut off the system completely? I hate dash lights... once again the OCD is running my life.

A procal or flash cal can turn it off completely. If you have a 2014 with the tire pressure monitor on the dash, I would keep them.

I have an 07, so i guess I'll just shut it off.

If I have a way to see what the actual pressure is in each tire like my Escalade had, I would keep it... but its just a dummy light in mine. Eddie do you know if the system has the ability to show the exact pressure if I hooked a computer up to it? Meaning if I hooked up a procal to the jeep, can the procal see what the actual pressure is in each tire?

If so maybe I'll get the sensors and work on setting up a screen somewhere so I can see the info in real time.

The procal doesn't show anything. It doesn't have a screen on it.
