I have a 1980 cj5 with a 4 speed Tranny that is bad want to go to a automatic but not sure what type I need any would be greatly appreciated

I believe the TF777 was an option for that year. Decent trans for what it is.

My old cj7 had a turbo 400 in it with the old quadratrac tcase

unfortunately, i'm pretty sure that the CJ5's shorter wheel base prevented it from having an auto tranny from the factory.
