JL JOURNAL : EVO JL Long Arm Suspension Installation - S#!T JUST GOT REAL / PART 1

Since getting our Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited a little over a year and a half ago, Cindy and I have had a chance to test out a myriad of lift kits and this would include everything from a budget boost to a 4" coil lift. We did this to learn as much as we could and gain as much first hand experience as possible and mainly because we always knew this day was coming - the point of no return!

Based on our years of experience running EVO coilovers on both of our JK Wranglers, it really was just a matter of time before we installed set on our JL Wrangler as well. In addition to offering a crazy amount of flex out on the trail and allowing us to bomb across the desert in comfort, EVO has always done a great job of designing their coilover kits to offer an on pavement ride that we absolutely love. Of course, ride comfort is 100% subjective and the best part about coilovers is that they're completely adjustable. In other words, if you don't like what you get standard, you can always set them up with whatever spring rate and valving you prefer.

To help optimize our ride quality even more, we decided to have EVO High Clearance Long Arms installed at the same time as they do a great job of correcting suspension geometry. And, in this episode of the JL JOURNAL, you'll get to see what all is involved to get them installed. We hope you enjoy.

Jesus Eddie, when did you start filming pornos? That is just way too much sex for these virgin eyes of mine.

Watching on the big screen as we speak. Per usual, awesome content!!

It’s over just when it was about to get crazy! It’s amazing how fast those guys work. Looking at the high clearance LAs, it real makes me wish I would have gone in that direction instead of welding in a couple rock magnets.

Can’t wait to see part two!

Great video as always, I guess it justifies you staying in, being lame, and video editing [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Working hard on it now :)

It was great watching it happen in pictures a few days ago, but it’s so much more satisfying to see the process. They cranked that out fast!!!]

It was encouraging to see for sure. Makes it real easy to recommend them for work like this :)

Proper sexy. Moby is gonna be pissed....

Actually, Moby is excited that we finally have another Jeep he can get out and play with

So what was your ride for the night.... or did you have to sleep in the shop?

LOL - we were there enough to have just slept there. We rented a car - I think it was a Chevy Cobalt or something like it.

So sweet! I’m jealous...if you want to ditch your midarms I can meet you at prison hill :)

Midarms? I don't think we've ever owned anything silly like that before

:pop2: Ready for the coilover install!!

Working on it - coming soon :yup:

Had to log off to watch it on my iPad

Hope it was better :)

Mel May have said it but is in 2.5 or 3.5 long arm?

I believe the arms are the same regardless of lift... it would be the springs that make it 2.5 or 3.5.

In this case it is coilovers so they are probably adjustable from 2.5" and taller.

What CalSgt said, the long arm kit would be the same. Just the coils or coilovers would be different. :yup:

Man, can’t wait for part 2. Those two were getting at it, awesome welds too.

Man, Tommy and Ricky were on it for sure. :yup:

That's a lot of work. Great editing and capturing the sparks and cutting.

Thanks! It was actually a lot of fun to film :)

LOL - truth be told, we were originally planning on making this a single video. We simply ran out of time and decided to make it into a 2 part series this afternoon

Great! A 2 parter??? Another day of lonely exploring! [emoji23][emoji1589]

I may be running the same setup, but I definitely do not have those welds. Never thought I would find so much want in a bead. 😎
