I just bought a pretty nice tj. Built well there are a few things that need to be addressed. The speedometer doesn’t work and neither axle has wheel speed sensors. How do I go about getting this fixed?

Does the TJ not use wheel speed sensors to talk to the Speedometer? Also should mention it’s has a 5.3 ls swap, turbo 400 and a atlas transfer case

I don’t remember specifically about the wheel speed sensors but I want to say the TJ’s didn’t have any. At least I know you don’t need them. And the Speedo I believe runs off a gear on the transfer case rear output.

Wheel speed sensors are more for anti skid brakes and traction control on newer stuff, the PCM’s OBDII function also uses the wheel sensors to diagnose issues.

If it has an atlas give the a call in my jk it uses the TJ sensors for the 4WD lights I believe there is a port for a TJ speedo gear

It does have the atlas and I checked on the outport side Where the rear driveshaft connects and there is no port
