I'm on the market for new tires for this summer. There is a 275$ difference for a set of five, between 35's and 37's. I have a 3" lift and flat fenders. At full flex I get a little rubbing in the rear wheel opening with my 315/70R17 duratracs.( should have installed the bump stop extensions that came with the lift kit). Choice is not so hard, but since I can't afford another lift kit, I thought in puttin a 1" body lift to compensate. I am not a big fan of body lift, so it would be temporary.

a 1" body lift would cost around 250$. I already have the gearing to run 37's also. So that said, should I stay with 35's and save for other mod and jump to 37's once I can put a better lift? or just put a 1" bodylift and get the 37's?

Really 250 for a 1" BL. I got my PA BL for a 100 bucks.

holeshot have you thought about Discount tire Direct?http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do

They put the price of Duties into the shipping price, and from what I’ve seen are still cheaper than buying tires in quebec.. just think about it before making a move...

Yea this is where im going to order too. I work in a dealer and they have better prices than the employee price we have. I have cheked today for the same tire around town and its like 140$ more per tires.

It looks like you have a good setup axle wise for 37's with 44's, gussets and 4.88's. I would go with the 37's but maybe add sleeves and moly shafts.

my front is already sleeved, but no chromo shaft yet. The previous owner of these diff was running 37's also.

Why don't you look into just getting bump stops? It's way cheaper than the body lifts your looking at. Then get the 37's and do a little trimming to the wheel wells.

You make a VERY valid point.
This is something I believe. I mean 37"s isn't just about fitting them. It's also about can your axles Handle them, can your drivetrain Handle them. If not you'll end up with more problems than you began

Well, i have d44's front and rear with hd balljoints, c-gussets, sleeves and 4.88 gears, still on stock axles for now. I believe that with my wheeling habits i will be fine just like that. Only issue is clearance in the rear wheel well, so thats why i thought about the bodylift.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Body lifts suck anyway.

with my 3" plush rides and flats I clear 37s with no problems, but I have the bump stop extensions in the back which came from my 2.5" lift. I probably rub slightly at times, but just havnt had time to find it yet and trim.

I already have the 3" bump stops for my lift, they are just not installed. Don't know what lift these came from.

Good to know, do you have rear adjustable arms?

The reason why i didn't installed yet is because my rear suspension is bottoming pretty easily as soon as i have weights in the rear, like passengers. Guess i should get better shocks.

that would be from your coils not your shocks. they might be to soft or just sagged a lot over time

I know about the coils but they're almost new, not even a full year of use. These shocks are really soft though.

Not sure i would go with body lift. Never really liked seeing anymore of the frame and then any issues with longer shifters etc. Maybe add your bump stops and a set of coil spacers if you need a bit more clearance Sounds like you only need a bit. Most guys around here seem to be running 37's just fine with 3-4" lifts and flat fenders. Any particular reason you went to 35's in place of what the PO used?
