I've had my 2dr JK Rubicon for almost 9 years now. Bought it in Oklahoma new, and it's been all the way east to Virginia and Florida, all the way north to Michigan's UP, all the way west through Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. 80K miles later, both my wife and I (and the kids) still love it. It received a suspension upgrade a couple years ago with an AEV 2.5" lift, along with new wheels and 33" Duratracs (with some ACE rock rails to convince the wife it was still the same height!).

Never done any serious trails...just some light muddin which involved getting buried in a GA swamp that took several hours and several vehicles to recover. The thing that makes me most happy is that I've only ever needed to change the oil at regular intervals and replace the battery once. It has been an absolute beast for 80K miles! It does leak a little oil, has problems going up long mountain inclines, and the handling can be tricky (definitely more since the suspension/tire upgrade), but it's been pretty dang awesome so far. By far the longest I've ever owned a vehicle (except my 74 Porsche 914 since 02) but this one has been running the entire time.

I can't foresee a compelling reason to get rid of it at this point. It's our go-to vehicle for most of our around-town trips. Near future thoughts would be to address the oil leak just so I don't have drips in the driveway and run into a potential low-oil issue down the road. Just need to track that down to either intake manifold or RMS. Not sure if at this point I'd want to do more to the engine unless required. It'd be nice to have more power for daily driving tasks (supercharger, stroker, etc.), but I'd want to make sure any major flaws are addressed first. Just to say, if I had to have the engine opened up or replaced, I'd definitely opt for upgrades where possible.

We both love how easy it is to park/turn/maneuver. Can turn it around in a parking space. Love that we DGAF about minor aesthetic stuff. If it gets a scratch, it's a frikkin Jeep! People have run into us, and it's never been an issue. Never even the slightest concern. Anything that gets damaged gets replaced by aftermarket awesomeness. Nothing else you can buy that offers that flexibility.
