Visit to the Iron Zoo

Coming home from a NorCal visit with family, we decided to take a few scenic byways and came across this neat place just outside of Coalinga. Apparently, it's called the Iron Zoo and, I think the pics below does a pretty good job of explaining why...

There are more crazy iron animals like these out in the hills too but, I don't think you're allowed to check them out. Anyway, just thought I would share some of the crazy things you can see out in the middle of California

Oh, I'm sure it easily could have been but, this is in fact a bit north of you guys.

oh yeah, they were pumping away when we took these pics. up in the hills, we could see there was a rhino, woodpecker, billygoat and a few other animals nearby too.

That's pretty cool. Have to look it up when we drive to SanFran to visit family later this year.
