My friend has a 4xe and we are unable to get a food ground. In you video you say we could use this:
VHF No Ground Plane Antenna
NMO Style Base

I contacted the antenna manufacturer since the operating band if far from CB band. They responded that the antenna won't work with CB bands.

Do you think they are wrong and would work?

I apologize for not seeing this sooner. You cannot use a VHF no ground plane antenna as it is only made for GMRS, HAM or race radios.

Have you made sure that the nylon washer on your antenna mount has the step part in the center sitting in the mounting hole?

Oh I see.
Yes the nylon washer is correct.
I saw there is a Firestik no ground CB kit. Maybe should try it out.
