Transfer case shifter and leg room question

I'm a large guy and when I'm driving my leg rests against the T-Case shifter. On the JK the shifter had lateral play as even in 2H it could swing to the right to where it goes when you are going to switch to 4-LO. On the JT in 2H it won't swing to the right. I'm worried the weight of my leg might eventually bend the shifter. Anybody else had or dealt with this issue?

I have the same issue in my JL, its got over 30K miles on it without any damage from my knee resting on the shifter.

I think its B&M or someone makes an aftermarket doo-hickey for the TC shifter but not totally sure.

This is comforting, it find myself moving my leg around while using cruise control from fear of bending it, but I guess it's more of a new vehicle worry thing than anything.

JL's definitely have tighter seating vs the JK's. I prefer the JK driving longer distances.
I don't think you have to worry about bending the shifter though.
