Trac bar joint?

EDIT: I stated it wrong. It's my DRAGLINK.

Was under my JK this weekend looking for the source of a "clunk" that seems to be associated with a weight shift when turning left, but only after making a right turn. While under there, I noticed the rubber boot on the draglink joint was cracked pretty bad (passenger side). The bar freely rotates up and down with no effort at all. Feels loose, but has no side to side movemnet. Figured I needed to replace that joint, but I'm not finding it anywhere. I thought it was just pressed into the bar, but it's looking like I'd have to purchase an entire new bar. Is this the case or am I missing something?

Yep, an entire bar is needed in this case. If you want to buy a simple drag link (not Heavy Duty)
- Stock one ($109.99):
http://www.quadratec.com/products/56014_1008.htm

- Raybestos 410-1098 which is greasable/serviceable($46.58 @ Amazon)
http://catalogs.raybestoschassis.com/home/partdetails/?partNumber=410-1098&catalog=1000
http://www.amazon.com/Raybestos-410-1098-Professional-Grade-Tie/dp/B00A46BSBK#productDetails

- Moog DS300005 which is greasable/serviceable ($54.05 @ Amazon marketplace)
http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MOOG-DS300005
http://www.amazon.com/Moog-DS300005...=UTF8&qid=1385421825&sr=8-1&keywords=DS300005

Now if you are looking for a HD aftermarket replacement you can go with any of the following:

- The EVO ($299) not sure if you can get only the drag link bar without the flip kit?? Not sure if it's greasable/serviceable:
http://evomfg.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=EVO-DRAGLINKFLIP

- The synergy drag link, also is greasable/serviceable ($200):

I actually got the synergy because comes complete and it lets you replace either end with the same part number.

I think I remember reading the moog joints work as well. A cheaper option to look into so your not replacing the whole bar if you aren't looking to replace it

I hate the stock bar with that weak ass turning knuckle. I've had that thing skip it's thread so many times and throw off my steering. My synergy will be here tomorrow can't wait. Ill use the stocker as a breaker bar

Haha, I actually don't know what use to give to the old drag link, the ends were busted and were the cause of my death wobble.
The synergy fixed it :thumb:

I also removed the tie rod that is in good condition both are laying in the house porch. Guess I'll have just thrown them in the garbage.

Maybe keep your old tie rod as a trail spare?
