Tire cutted

Hi guys, today I saw that my rear tire has a cut on the side wall.
I’m not able to judge how critical the situation is...

I’m far away from town and I have no spire tire...***

How dangerous is it driving with the tire in this condition?

That’s pretty bad... in my personal opinion. I’d get it swapped ASAP... and start carrying a spare.

Isn’t it cool not to carry one? I see people doing it a lot. I would not go anywhere, without a spare, personally.

Well the tire is junk now even if you had it towed. So you have 2 choices.
1. CAREFULLY drive to the nearest town to purchase tires and stop if it blows.
2. Wait for a tow to purchase tires.

Start carrying a spare. They are there for this reason.

Agreed, just silly and I would think embarrassing if / when you need to make that call and admit that not having a spare isn’t so cool.

I'd run it. It appears the cut isn't even through the white layer which is just an extra layer for the white letters in the tire. If you see chords cut or start to have a bulge in the sidewall there then start worrying.
