Is it really worth that price?? Trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on this. Any suggestions????

there's been a lot of talk about the quality of this carrier, from what I understand the actual hinge replacement is fine but the a tire mount has a reinforcement flaw that can cause it to break.. there's a thread on it here somewhere..

weeeellllllllllll......... my opinion, no. but there are those who have them and like them. there is a small issue with "breakage"......

It seems like there are lots of questions as to whether there may be a durability issue. I looked at that one for almost $700 and looked at the OR-Fab with Roto pax containers and a mount for a hi-lift and settled on the Or_fab. I got it on Amazon with free shipping and total delivered was $640. It is super beefy and I am very happy with it.View attachment 29361

10frank9 has an ORFab carrier for sale. I think he wants around $350ish for it (maybe more I don't remember) Shipping would still be a lot cheaper then a new one and his is complete. Its a far better carrier then the teraflex but a completely different design. So it depends what you want and if you want your tire to swing open with the gate or not.

I like the looks of the Teraflex carrier :thumb: But not sure of its design. I ran the OR Fab carrier for over two years with a 40" Goodyear MTR on a Walker Evans beadlock, highlift jack and two 5gal. fuel cans without one single issue through lots of hard use and abuse.

That's because it was engineered and not just fabricated by some welder
