Steering wheel replacement - wild project/wishful thinking

Anybody messed around with retrofitting an srt wheel? A gentleman successfully did one years back, even got the paddle shifters to work. Reached out to him but he was off the forums.

New clock-spring, major wiring, electrical diagrams, and some real patience (obviously parts too).

I'm also hesitant to move forward as the new Wrangler platform will surly have a revised wheel that might be much easier to retrofit.

I think the wheel is fine. Why put an SRT wheel in? Other than paddles, is there something there to gain?
