Starting issues

My 96 bronco is having issues starting. Once started she runs like a raped ape, well more like a turtle but the point is she runs good. I can hear my fuel pump engaging when I turn the key, when I crank it over she fires and will start but runs really rough like there isn't enough fuel. If I feather the gas she will take off. Ideas?

You could do a compression check. I know with a lot of the older 302 motors there are misfires and that could cause your issues. Have you run it to see if its throwing any codes? Thats what I would do first.

Ok I narrowed it down to it only starts rough after it gets hot and I shut it off, wait 10-15 mins and then go try and restart it. If I feather the throttle it fires up and idles great. Thoughts and suggestions?
