OrFab to EVO tire carrier

Hey there. I was curious if anybody has gone from one tire carrier to an EVO tire carrier? My specific question is has anybody had any issues with the holes drilled into the Jeep with one carrier and then switching to another? What did you do with the holes?
I figure I would also go with the EVO corners but figured the huge hole for the carrier bolt might allow water and rust to penetrate the quarter panel.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
 
I went from orfab to evo on my first jeep. The evo corners do a great job of covering up the hole drilled out on the driver corner from the orfab latch block thing.
 
Thanks for the response! Did you fill the hole at all or the ones drilled on the inside of the tub by rear wheel wells?
 
GCM2 also went from the OR-Fab to EVO carrier. As already stated the corners should cover the hole up fine and nothing a lot of silicone can't take care of.
 
What are your thoughts on running the skins under the Orfab? Would the round tail lights effect the install of the carrier do you think? This is all coming about because I was hoping to add the quarter panel armor. With the hinge side of the carrier it uses that riser block and I notice the armor seems to fill the gap between the hinges so that might have to be removed to reinstall the carrier? Then on the driver side it kind of seemed like the tail light was positioned right about the carrier catch hole so I wasn't even sure it would fit back on.
Then after exhausting my self on trying to figure this all out before purchasing the armor I just thought "screw it" I will just go armor and Evo carrier! That presented a whole other set of questions. LoL To much coffee this morning I'm guessing.
 
Ahhhh cool Ridge. Thanks for the pic. For some reason I had envisioned the tail light being closer to the tailgate for some reason. That does a good job clearing it up for me.

I have had many conversations with gcm2 about the or fab and Evo skins working together. After many pm's and pics exchanged I don't believe they will work together. The passenger side mount for the carrier will interfere with the tail light of the skins. The only way to possibly make it work would be to modify the mount but I didn't want to go that route.
