Text says the driver had fallen out before the Jeep rolled off the mountain but was still seriously injured

One Google search,

UPDATE: On Tuesday morning, we were contacted by the Jeep's owner. He tells us that Decker, the missing dog, has been located safe and sound. However, he tells The Drive that the 23-year-old woman ejected from the vehicle has severe spinal injuries, and has a very long road to recovery. He says that if you could like to help, you can donate to help cover her medical bills here.

The Drive learned that she is now receiving the intensive medical care necessary, but unfortunately, a black labrador named Decker is still missing. We need your help reuniting Decker with his family.

The Jeep's owner, Rich Faller, said on Facebook that Decker was picked up by another family on the trail, but they don't know who those people are or where they live. The crash occurred around Bridal Veil Falls on Black Bear Pass outside Telluride on Oct. 10. Decker is a 10-month-old black lab.

When I started the thread, I wasn't aware that the video would not get a window to see what it was. Oh well, my error. Maybe y'all knew about the crash and I didn't search right to find the discussion.

Anyways, here is hopefully a screenshot from the video to give you an idea of the seriousness of the crash:

I was not involved in the accident, just someone who had that video pop up in my youtube sidebar.

Thanks for the updates. My searches were just to find out if this was being discussed on Wayalife. Glad to hear that the dog has been found. The woman needs a lot more than well wishes!

Thanks

Geez, who hasn't heard about this one?

From her GofundMe page update:

I want Everyone to know that I am Okay with the fact that I am paralyzed, that I am not going to stop living my life. That just because I have a wheelchair doesnt mean that I am changing as a person. I might have to learn how to do things a little differently than most people, but that’s okay. I want everyone to know that it is okay to be mad, sad, frustrated, etc, but don’t let those emotions control your day or your life. Life can be real shitty sometimes, but life is also so beautiful that it makes those shitty days seem like nothing.

There's lots more if you care to look there

This is mentioned on the all things Colorado thread I believe. I remember when this happened, I kept thinking how lucky the dude with the camera footage got. If he had left the house 45 seconds earlier that morning, he would have been sideswiped. Super sad deal. This is why you don’t stop and get out when your Jeep is off camber in the middle of a switchback on gravel...

To the OP: from reading this thread, maybe it’s unclear, but the driver stopped his Jeep, set the parking brake (he thinks), got out of the vehicle and the Jeep slid off the cliff with his dog and girlfriend inside. Girlfriend got ejected before the Jeep had rolled very far.
