North East Ice Storm 2013

I'm sure many of u have heard the North East was hit pretty hard over the last few days with freezing rain. There have been thousands of power outages, downed trees and other types of damage all over. Northern VT was hit hard (others maybe even harder) We're ok, although we've been without power for 3 days and still without. (Thank u generator)! In hopes of getting it back tonight but not sure. As I drove around today checking out the damage I happened to notice all the power companies and tree companies from several surrounding states helping out. Being Christmas Eve all these folks are away from their families helping out others in need in the freezing cold (I believe it's like 15 degrees today) I was trying to think of how I could say a big thank you and thought about this awesome website which I visit almost daily. So here you go! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! This goes out to all service men and women of all types across the country for always stepping up to the plate when others are in need! Here are a few pictures from around my house.

Man that's one thing I don't miss about the east coast. Although most of the ones I have been through seem to happen in late march and April after the heart of the winter. As bad as ice is its better to happen now then after the snow.

Had the jk out today doing some work hauling the remnants of a the fallen ice covered tree in my yard to the back yard burn pile.
